(Barnabe Heany, Catherine Kelly) Note: This couple’s marriage was performed by a magistrate and in 1850, after its review by the Bishop of Montreal, the marriage was called contrary to the laws of the church, declared null and void, and Francois Charlerie was allowed to marry Henriette Surprenant.
