These Phinney Family Bible records were started by Zenas Phinney (1752-1848) of Massachusetts. He kept them in a Bible printed in 1815.
Zenas Phinney lived past his 95th birthday and willed the family Bible to his grandson, Capt. Daniel Ruggles, a Civil War officer who survived that war, but is buried in the Confederate Cemetery in Fredericksburg, Virginia. The Bible covers three generations of Phinney family genealogical material.
